Create Gradient Colours, Piping Details and Panel lines in Procreate
Share
If you’re learning to design clothing digitally, here’s a quick breakdown of how to create these gradient sport shorts using Procreate on iPad.
1. Gradient Colour Effect
Use the standard Procreate Fat Nozzle brush to create a smooth fade from dark to light.
Tip: Build up colour slowly with low opacity layers for a clean gradient. This creates depth and dimension that makes the digital flat look more like a finished garment.
2. Seam & Piping Details
To create curved panel lines and piping effect, use the custom Bubble Brush in Procreate.
3. Save Time Using Our Mock-up Templates
Our standard shorts mock-up was designed with functionality and fit in mind. The features include:
- Elastic waistband
- Side seam pockets
- Mid-thigh length
Spend less time setting up and more time creating.
